Alidu Seidu arrived in Nice on Thursday evening as he moved closer to joining OGC Nice from Stade Rennais FC.
The Ghanaian defender is due to undergo his medical on Friday morning, with the final details of the transfer expected to be completed afterwards. Provided there are no issues, the move is set to be officially confirmed at the beginning of the afternoon.
OGC Nice and Stade Rennais FC have reached an agreement over the terms of the transaction. The clubs have also agreed that Stade Rennais FC will continue to cover part of Seidu’s salary for the duration of his engagement.
However, the deal does not include an option to buy. The Breton club had sought a fee of close to 11 million euros in order to retain a buy-back clause, but OGC Nice did not agree to that amount.
