Nigeria's Olympic Eagles have received two fresh additions to their training camp as preparations gather pace for their 2028 Olympic Games qualifying tie against the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The latest players to arrive are Bawa Prince of Nasarawa United and Ayodeji Abayomi of Ikorodu City, taking the number of players in camp to 25.
Their arrival gives the coaching crew more options as the team continues preparations for the two-legged encounter, with attention focused on improving tactical organisation and match fitness.
The squad held its Tuesday morning training session at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, where the players worked through technical drills and tactical exercises.
The Olympic Eagles are expected to return to the pitch later on Tuesday for another training session scheduled to run from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Nigeria will travel to face DR Congo in the first leg on November 13, before hosting the return fixture on November 17 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
The winner of the tie will progress to the next qualifying round, where they will face the winner of the contest between Zambia and Burkina Faso.
With 25 players now available in camp, Nigeria will be looking to build the understanding and readiness needed to overcome DR Congo and maintain their hopes of reaching the 2028 Olympic Games.
