Southampton striker Paul Onuachu has dedicated his first goal for the club to the team's supporters, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Onuachu scored in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest at City Ground and played a key role in Jan Bednarek's goal.
Despite the loss, Onuachu was pleased to have scored in front of the traveling fans, who he praised for their support.
"It's a good feeling to score, but disappointing we lost," Onuachu told the club's official website.
"I'm happy that I scored in front of the fans. The away fans were brilliant, they've been supportive even though we're last on the table."
