Petar Sucic wants improved Inter contract despite deal running until 2030

Inter midfielder Petar Sucic is seeking an improved contract with the club, according to FcInter1908.

The Croatia international had expected to play a greater role after completing his first season in Milan, but that increase in opportunities has yet to materialise. Competition for places in Inter’s midfield has intensified further following the arrival of Curtis Jones.

Sucic’s representatives believe the time has come to review the terms of his agreement. The midfielder currently earns about €1.5m a year, making him one of the lowest-paid members of the Inter squad.

However, Inter do not regard a contract extension as an urgent matter because Sucic’s existing deal does not expire until 2030.

Sucic has made five appearances in Serie A and the Champions League this season, starting two of those matches.
