Paris St-Germain manager Luis Enrique is considering using left-back Nuno Mendes further forward to cover for the injured Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
According to L’Equipe, the Portugal international could be moved into the role of left winger as PSG look for a way to cope with the Georgia forward’s extended absence.
Kvaratskhelia suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury in PSG’s 4-2 victory over Barcelona in the third round of the Champions League league phase.
The injury has ended the winger’s season, with his recovery expected to take about nine months. Enrique is therefore assessing whether Mendes can provide an attacking option on the left while Kvaratskhelia is unavailable.
