Frosinone began the seventh round of the Italian championship with a 4-2 victory over Sassuolo, securing their fourth win of the season.
Antonio Raimondo scored three of Frosinone’s goals to become the first player to score a hat-trick for the club in Serie A. No Frosinone player had previously achieved the feat in the club’s history of competing in Italy’s top flight.
Raimondo also set a record as the youngest Italian player to score a Serie A hat-trick since 2015. He was 22 years and 212 days old when he scored three times against Sassuolo.
The previous youngest Italian to reach that mark was Domenico Berardi, who was 20 years and 289 days old when he scored a hat-trick against Milan in 2015.
Frosinone’s next match will be away to Atalanta in Bergamo in the following round.
