Real Madrid have published an update on Federico Valverde after the midfielder was injured during the derby against Atletico.
The club have not provided a timescale for the Uruguay international’s recovery.
Valverde’s injury came after an incident involving Lee Kang-in. The Technical Committee of Referees has since acknowledged that the Paris Saint-Germain player should have been shown a red card for the challenge on the Real Madrid midfielder.
Real Madrid are fourth in the Spanish Championship table. Jose Mourinho’s side are six points behind leaders Barcelona.
