Spanish former midfielder Santi Cazorla has selected fellow Spain international Lamine Yamal as his choice to win the Ballon d’Or, saying there are “no doubts” about his decision.
Cazorla, who previously played for Arsenal and Villarreal, chose the Barcelona forward ahead of the other contenders for football’s most prestigious individual award.
Yamal helped Barcelona win La Liga and also lifted the World Cup with Spain.
