The Women’s U20 World Cup continues on Sunday with four matches from groups C and D, including Ghana’s opening game against Ecuador and the United States’ first fixture against Italy.
The tournament began on Saturday and moves into its next stage with France facing South Korea in one of the day’s early matches. Japan will also start its campaign against New Zealand, before Ghana and the United States take to the field later in the day.
The Black Princesses will attract particular attention when they begin their competition against Ecuador. Ghana are one of the teams involved in Sunday’s afternoon programme, with their Group C fixture scheduled for 16:00.
The United States will launch their Women’s U20 World Cup campaign against Italy in Group D. Their match is also due to begin at 16:00, completing a day that features the opening games for all four teams in that section.
Sunday’s schedule also includes France’s meeting with South Korea and Japan’s contest against New Zealand, both of which will be played at 13:00.

The two early matches will open the day’s action, with France and South Korea meeting alongside Japan and New Zealand. The focus will then shift to the two later fixtures, as Ghana face Ecuador and the United States take on Italy.
For Ghana, the match marks the start of their campaign and provides the first opportunity for the Black Princesses to make an impression in the competition. Their game is one of the most closely followed fixtures on Sunday.
The United States also begin their tournament on the same day, with Italy standing between them and a winning start. Their Group D encounter forms part of a double-header involving the group, following Japan’s meeting with New Zealand earlier in the afternoon.
With the competition having opened on Saturday, Sunday’s programme continues the group-stage action across Groups C and D. Four teams will begin their campaigns at 13:00, while the remaining four will do so in the 16:00 fixtures.
