Arsenal defender William Saliba could be back in action in November, according to L’Equipe.
The 25-year-old France international suffered a back injury during the World Cup. There had been serious doubts about whether Saliba would be fit to take part in the tournament, but he started every match for France up to their semi-final against Spain.
Saliba sustained the injury during the first half of that game. He decided against having surgery and instead opted for conservative treatment.
Arsenal are keen to avoid rushing his recovery. An examination earlier this month showed that Saliba’s rehabilitation is progressing well, and he could return to playing soon.
Ezri Konsa has filled the gap in Arsenal’s defence in Saliba’s absence. For France, Liverpool defender Jeremy Jacquet has taken advantage of his opportunity.
